Hey y’all,
So today was going to be a long overdue post featuring an essay on “the myth of autonomy” or something hoity-toity like that. Instead, I’m swerving and using Valentine’s Day as an excuse to post some of the comics I’ve given as gifts to people I’ve dated. The Myth of Autonomy indeed.
My only disclaimer is that some of these may be a little inside jokey. Maybe even a little sappy. But, I’m always going on about how comics can be anything… so today they are.
From 2010:

2023’s comic was done on post it notes:
Okay, that’s about all I feel comfortable posting. Last I checked I’m still friends with these women, but I didn’t clear posting these comics sooooo… I hope you… (winces) enjoyed them?
In other news— I’ve been very busy these past couple of months— which means very productive*. Looking forward to sharing the fruits of all that labor as soon as I can.
Anyway, hope y’all have a great weekend.
More soon…

*Think— Comics printed on paper.
Very cool for you to share Jason. I especially liked the Post It notes - very original!
All brilliant, love the range (yup recognise the dates but you demonstrate your current versatility with ease) from comic to illustration to just art. '2023' is fantastic. So all anyone has to do to get a Latour original is date you around Valentines??? NOW YOU TELL ME!!!!
