Hey y’all,
A new comic today, a little bit about it afterward:
This one came about as an attempt to take a break from real work and somehow retain my edge. Most of it was conceived, written, and drawn in one (long) sitting— though it borrows a lot of inspiration from one of my old sketchbook covers:
Working in what I currently consider my looser approach, was at least partially an attempt to apply the philosophy the comic mentions. Though I’m not sure if I’m happy with my progress in that area, or being strangled to death by the lack of it.
As for the actual quote— it began chewing at me as my friend Russ (seated under Dylan above) and I reconnoitered New York City’s Boroughs a couple of decades ago. Hilariously, I thought I understood Dylan’s meaning back then and loved to share my enlightenment. My hope is that someday soon I’ll look back and laugh at what I still don’t know.
‘Till then, or whatever comes next— Hope you’re well. And thanks for reading.
More soon…

Wow. This is really inspiring. It kind of reminds me of Stan Mack's Real Life Funnies, from The Village Voice in the 1980s.
It may inspire me to do some more personal work. Thanks.
My beginner brain (and autistic brain) has noticed lately the more “sketchy” I draw, the happier I am. As soon as I tighten it with sharp inks it all goes to hello! Thank you for your amazing art 🙏
