It was also a big year for THE DRAWL on TikTok, IG and YouTube.
Here’s a little montage of some of the comics I covered:
I’m beyond grateful to all of you for your support with these projects. Making these things all by myself can be a lot of work— but oddly this past year has been one of most natural, fun states of creation I’ve ever found myself in, and I wouldn’t feel this way without y’all patting me on the head and blessin’ my heart every now and then.
Shifting back to making shorter comics has honestly felt like coming home. My first efforts as a published writer began with newspaper-style strips. Speaking of—
I found maybe the first of my comics to ever see print:
Now I don’t think that first one is very funny or well drawn. But the sequel?

Lastly, here’s some of the stuff from 2022 that I enjoyed & recommend:
TV:
The Bear (watched it twice)
Andor
Better Call Saul
Welcome to Wrexham (hey, I like Soccer now. Thanks pandemic?)
Atlanta
Movies:
Nope
The Banshees of Inisherin (I’ve thought more about this movie afterward than any other)
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Werewolf by Night (easily my favorite Marvel movie in a while)
Music:
Juke Box Charley, & The Man from Waco - Charley Crockett
Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers - Kendrick Lamar
Comics:
Something is Killing the Children
Hope y’all have a great start to 2023. More soon…
